Sit(x) is a cloud-hosted situational awareness platform built by Booz Allen Hamilton. It provides a fully managed TAK server environment with enterprise administration, secure communications, blue force tracking, mission management, and data integration capabilities — all hosted on AWS GovCloud (US).
Who is Sit(x) for?
Sit(x) serves defense organizations, federal agencies, state and local government, law enforcement, first responders, and any organization that needs real-time location awareness and secure team coordination using the TAK ecosystem.
How is Sit(x) different from running my own TAK Server?
Sit(x) eliminates the infrastructure burden of self-hosting. You don't need to provision servers, manage certificates, patch operating systems, or build admin tools. Sit(x) adds web-based management, multi-tenant isolation, enterprise federation, MFA, comprehensive audit logging, and continuous updates — all managed for you.
Is Sit(x) secure enough for government use?
Yes. Sit(x) is hosted exclusively on AWS GovCloud (US), which supports FedRAMP High, DoD IL4/IL5, ITAR, CJIS, and other compliance frameworks. The platform implements mutual TLS, MFA, encrypted data at rest and in transit, complete audit logging, and tenant-level data isolation.
What TAK clients does Sit(x) support?
Sit(x) works with all major TAK clients including ATAK (Android Team Awareness Kit), iTAK (iOS), WinTAK (Windows), and WebTAK-compatible web interfaces.
How quickly can my organization get started?
